Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) 2013 Information

The Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) is opening up the MyERAS website for residency applicant registration on July 1, 2012. This will mark the beginning of the ERAS 2013 cycle.  You should receive an electronic token from your designated Dean’s Office in order to register on the MyERAS website. The following are important dates for ERAS (note: some of these have changed for the 2013 season):

  • July 15, 2012 – DO applicants begin selecting and applying to DO training programs only; DO programs begin downloading applications from ERAS
  • September 15, 2012 – All applicants begin selecting and applying to ACGME-accredited residency programs; programs begin receiving applications
    • New for ERAS 2013 season
  • October 1, 2012 – MD applicant Medical Student Performance Evaluations (MSPEs or “Dean’s Letters”) are released to programs
    • New for ERAS 2013 season
  • October 15, 2012 – DO applicant MSPEs are released to programs
  • December – Military Match results are available
  • January – SF Match results are available
  • February – DO Match results are available; NRMP Rank Order Lists are due
  • March – NRMP Match results are available; Supplemental Offer and Acceptance Program (SOAP) begins

IMPORTANT: ERAS does NOT set a deadline for individual program applications. You will have to visit the website of or contact individual residency programs in order to learn each program’s application deadline.
