  • Extensive text revisions, new mnemonics, clarifications, and corrections curated by a team of 30 student authors who excelled on their Step 1 examinations. • A revised exam preparation guide with updated data from the NBME and NRMP. It also features updated USMLE advice for international medical graduates and osteopathic and podiatric students.
  • An updated guide to recommended USMLE Step 1 review resources, based on a nationwide survey of randomly selected third-year medical students.
  • Real-time Step 1 updates and corrections can be found exclusively on our blog.
  • We invite students and faculty to continue sharing their thoughts and ideas to help us continually improve First Aid for the USMLE Step 1 through our blog and collaborative editorial platform.

  1. Hello First Aid team, first of all congratulations on your new vesion of this great book.

I was just going through it, when i came across a new diagram.
In the cardiovasular-embryology section -page 264

the diagram shows site of erythropoiesis.

According to the diagram erythropiesis in Bone marrow starts at 22 week, where as the theory says that Bone marrow starts erythropiesis at 18th month.

I checked the previous version of the book it says 22 weeks.
Please make the correction, and inform us , which is corect ( diagram – or theory )

    Thank you

  2. Hello! Just wondering if there is any news about when a new edition of FA for step 3 will hit the shelves?
